Neat CONTEST
Win Betsy & Iya’s “I ? PDX” necklace
Let’s talk about love, baby: We love Portland. We love The Neat Sheet readers. We love jewelry. And we are so in love with Betsy & Iya’s I Heart Portland necklace that we asked (ok, begged and pleaded) jewelry designer Betsy Cross to create one just for YOU!
Cross, a Virginia native with a Masters degree in physical theater, moved to Portland in 2006 and promptly fell in love – then launched her eclectic Betsy & Iya jewelry collections in 2008. Her original designs range from theatrical to cheeky to romantic, including pieces created from mixed-metals, antiqued objects and vintage Art Deco Plastics.
Right now we’re having giggle fits over Betsy&Iya’s Textured Romance and Shameless Love collections – delicate, dangling black lace earrings, precious love letter necklaces, bad boy motorcycle pendants (right) and French charms that read “Je T’amie Plus Qu Hier Moins Que Demain.” (“I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow.”)
Cross designed her “I ? PDX” pendant to reflect why her heart belongs to Portland – namely, “drops of rain hitting your toes as you listen to National Public Radio while seated, mostly sheltered, on your front porch.” Also, pressed coffee, your lover, and the scent of lavender. . . Yeah, right?
Want to win this “I ? PDX” pendant? Just send an e-mail with the subject line “I HEART PORTLAND” to neatsheet@karenvitt.com. We’ll pick a random lucky winner at noon on Friday, Feb. 5 so you’ll have it in time to keep or give for Valentine’s Day.
p.s., Our hearts belong to Portland, of course, but Betsy & Iya also will create custom pendants for other cities you ?, too!
