Shopping oasis + A Christmas Carol savings

Now that we’ve filled you in on all The Pearl District Black Friday shopping and weekend happenings, we feel it’s our duty also to report an oasis where shopping Scrooges can escape from it all.

Portland Center Stage is setting up a family-friendly shopping hideout at the Pearl District Armory, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 28. Take a break from the shoptastic spazathon for holiday-themed lunch at the Armory Cafe, free hot chocolate and cartoons for the kids, plus interactive entertainment to make the busy day more enjoyable.

The PCS Oasis will offer live jazz music, a Victorian Family photo booth, a kids coloring lounge, chair massages and a place to check your packages for safekeeping. Plus, if you show your receipts from any Pearl District purchase, you can buy 2-for-1 adult tickets to A Christmas Carol, Portland Center Stage’s traditional holiday production.
