Neat shopping news for budget-conscious (and style-conscious) Oregonians!
New York designer Donna Karan, maker of the popular and modern classic DKNY brand, will open the first Northwest-based DKNY Company Store (that’s a more classy way of saying “outlet store,” by the way) at Woodburn Company Stores this Friday, Feb. 19.
Shoppers can save 4o to 75 percent on chic, modern DKNY clothing, jeans, accessories and more. We expect to find lots of DKNY’s signature sleek looks, including simple shift dresses in neutral shades, slim sweaters, and always always always black tights.
We just got off the fashion phone with Amy Brown, who handles public relations for Woodburn Company Stores, and she gave us a little preview of what’s in the new DKNY store right now: Leather handbags galore in neutral tones and brights (red and pink); classic cotton button-front tunics with roll-tab cuffs in black, white, light blue and pink; great classic short trench coats in khaki and black; and shrugs in black and a soft palette of colors.
Brown said about 30 percent of the store’s inventory is devoted to menswear, including smart woven shirts and ties for the office, plus denim, sweaters and modern, bright polos from the DKNY Men’s Essentials line.
Also, 5 percent of all the opening weekend sales will benefit the Woodburn School District’s After-School Club.
P.S., Don’t forget there’s also an Icebreaker Outlet Store opening at Woodburn Company Stores this spring.
