Lizard Lounge operates as Portland headquarters for the city’s coolest First Thursday parties, and tonight is no exception. Stop by The Pearl’s most stylish streetwear source for a Falling Whistles benefit party and sale, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4.
Falling Whistles campaigns for Peace in Congo, working to rehabilitate and help children living amidst the world’s largest war. The campaign originated as a journal about boys being sent to the front lines armed with nothing more than a whistle, and has since grown into an actual whistle-driven campaign to give the cause a voice. Purchase of the whistles (left) either online or at Lizard Lounge will benefit the campaign for peace.
Tonight, Lizard Lounge will present a new in-store Falling Whistles installation, along with refreshments from Widmer Brothers Brewing Company and Koi Fusion Korean barbecue, music from The Upsidedown and 20 percent markdowns on all full-priced merchandise.
