Sweetly nostalgic, handmade Attic Journals (above) are the inspired creation of Northwest artist Michelle Sanders, who uses vintage children’s book covers over new blank pages to create her line of retro blank books, which are sold nationwide at small boutiques and novelty shops. The journals are among the many cool, crafty things you’ll find at today’s Irvington Artisan Market.
Shop ’til 6 p.m. for pretty knit hats and scarves, soaps, cosmetics, handbags, jewelry, art and more. Check the Irvington Artisan Market blog for a complete list of vendors (Rosabode, Mugwump, Scrumptious Suds and more), plus see great photos and profiles of neat things being created by so many talented Portland-area artists.
