Next Thursday evening is a style smash-up, with fun shopping events to check out all over town. One event not to miss is the Maytee spring trunk show at Parallel, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5.
The Portland-based designer will show and sell her Spring 2010 Collection, “Safari Dreams,” a mix of pretty pieces with unexpected details in a soft color palette of coral, tan and cream.
Inspired by minimalist Japanese designs, May Tee has studied fashion at The Art Institute of Portland and Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, and she interned with the Italian knitwear masters at Missoni. Now back in Portland, the Maytee line is carried at Parallel and Mario’s, as well as online at www.maytee.com.
While at Parallel, also shop for timeless tweed coats and simple shift dresses from Tocca; silk blouses from Nougat London; reversible Kato jackets from Rag & Bone; textured and wool-blend tights from Hansel by Basel; and knits from 88 Orange.
