PNCA + Etsy “I Heart Art” Meet ‘n Greet party tonight

Yet another reason to love Etsy! Based in Brooklyn, New York, our favorite Web site for buying and selling handmade and vintage wares is growing fast and branching out to get more involved with communities on a local level.
Now, Etsy, PNCA (Pacific Northwest College of Art), Museum of Contemporary Craft and the Portland Etsy Team are collaborating on the “I Heart Art: Portland” project to foster opportunities and offer support for the local DIY/craft/vintage community. As a group, they’ll host a series of indie business talks at PNCA’s Museum of Contemporary Craft and a series of Etsy Craft Labs in Portland this spring.
Tonight, the group invites local indie artists, crafters, designers and do-it-yourselfers to scooch your creative selves on down to PNCA for the “I Heart Art” Meet ‘n Greet party and kickoff for the collaboration, 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. You’ll have a chance to meet many of your crafty kin, plus enjoy refreshments and live music, and learn more about upcoming “I Heart Art” projects that will benefit Portland creatives.
Etsy’s announcement of the collaboration pointed out that indie hearts beat strong in Portland, which is one of the craftiest cities in the United States. For proof, check out the roughly 3,500 neat items offered by Portlanders on etsy.com right now!
