If you aren’t busy Thursday… hahaha, that’s a joke! We know you are busy with a bazillion shoptastic events, and here’s another: Radish Underground will host a First Thursday Local Designer Opening featuring designer Kelcey Blanton’s Varnish Clothing, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Varnish is a young line that launched its first collection last fall, with a focus on the expert construction of simple and classic pieces in fine and limited edition fabrics. Our favorites from the fall/winter collection are the loose, drapey Fremont top with side pockets; soft, knit shawl collar jackets; reversible Rose City rain coats; and a swingy, mod Vegas dress.
While you shop, also view the Radish Underground Holiday Collective Show. The art show and sale features the work of seven local artists who’ve created paintings, photos, ink drawings and sculptures all priced at $100 or less to inspire shoppers to give the gift of art.
