We’ve got exciting news for all you Project Runway-philes out there. As most of you know, last season Vancouver, Wash.-based designer Seth Aaron Henderson took home the big prize thanks
to his daring high-fashion, hard-rock aesthetic and expert trademark tailoring (and we’re already gearing up for PR8 with another local designer, Gretchen Jones of MothLove). Now, several months since the finale aired, Henderson is back with a brand new collection. To get an exclusive first peek at Henderson’s latest designs, stop by Anne Bocci Boutique from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 6.
Anne Bocci’s famously chic (and adorably tiny) Multnomah Village boutique has long been a champion of local artists and designers. Bocci was an early adopter and supporter of Henderson’s work long before he acheieved fame via everyone’s favorite-design-challenge TV show.
As part of the Multnomah Village First Friday event, you’ll get a chance to meet the charming and larger-than-life designer personality and see his stunning, detailed work up close and personal. Bocci also carries Henderson’s one-of-a-kind handmade accessories (skull and chain pin, $49, right). Enjoy complimentary wine, snacks, big sales and fun raffle prizes while you mingle and shop.
Right now, the boutique has a neat stash of new summer clothing, accessories and jewelry from a host of Northwest designers, including dresses from SethAaron Designs, spring dresses from fellow Vancouver designer Christa Taylor, laser-cut metallic leather jewelry from Seattle’s Bijoudally, and more from WeMa Designs, Clair Vintage and many others.
It’s hard to believe just how much summer goodness Bocci can pack into her compact, expertly stocked boutique. It’s true that size doesn’t matter… it’s what you do with it that counts.
