AK Vintage Jewelry Goodness Studio Sale
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet last-minute sale alert! Portland jewelry designer Anna Korte will host a huge studio sale from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, June 9), offering amazing deals on her locally loved line of AK Vintage Jewelry.
Since starting her Portland jewelry line in 2002, Korte has expanded her work from limited runs of deconstructed vintage necklaces to full collections that feature an inventive mix of authentic vintage parts, recycled leather and castings made from one-of-a-kind vintage findings. Korte also practices sustainable design, with every piece handmade right here in PDX.
Korte names her collections for her favorite poets and pieces of literature, so it’s fun to peruse the lines labeled Kahlil Gibran or Walt Whitman and find pieces with poetic titles. Right now our favorite finds include this pair of Eastern Sky earrings, featuring vintage cable chain falling from vintage brass hoops; and the Adorn the Parlors of Heaven necklace (right), which has a vintage brass feather pendant and drop charms strung on vintage brass rolo chain.
During tonight’s sale, you’ll find neat deals on back-stock inventory and samples, with prices starting as low as $25. And if you can’t make the sale, you can also shop for AK Vintage jewelry in local boutiques including Lille, Tilde, Local 35 and Frances May.
