Locally-minded bargain shoppers rejoice! Angie Heiney of Frock, Jen Neitzel of Knot Ugly and DIY Lounge, and Julz Nally of Handmade Julz, the brilliant organizers behind Bargain Hunting 101 are at it again, and their latest installment (this makes six!) of the crazy-popular vendor clearance will be happening from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 15 the Crystal Ballroom.

The last Bargain Hunting 101 event took place on Super Bowl Sunday and was such a smashing success they are giving us more of what we crave. Yes, we went to the last one (with our mommies), yes we found some amazing one-of-a-kind deals, and yes we are definitely going to be there again this time.

More than 50 vendors will be setting up shop in the ballroom and mega discounts is the name the game. Look for great local well-knowns and lesser-knowns such as Frock, Moxie, Handmade Julz (right), Queen Bee, Gypsy Chic, Knot Ugly, Electikid, Plue, 2 Monkees, Allium, Bella Sisters, Clark and Mayfield, Ellington Handbags, Betsy & Iya, Haggis McBaggis, Tender Loving Empire, and many, many more.

What is especially fun about this gathering, besides the full bar (did we mention that?), is knowing that you are getting the best possible price for what you’re getting. Seriously, the deals here tend to be INSANE. Last time we felt super guilty for snatching up a set of ten hand drawn note cards for a mere two bucks! Expect to see tons of handmade jewelry, screen printed tees, crazy-cheap art and fun locally made apparel.

Side note: Last time we arrived right at noon and there was a line wrapped around the block to get in. Luckily it moved pretty fast, but you might want to get there a bit early.
