Mercantile ain’t jokin’ around when it comes to April Fool’s Day fashion fun. Starting Thursday, April 1, downtown Portland’s classic boutique department store will hop into action with a weekend’s worth of fun sales and events.
You’ll find sale items marked down by as much as 75 percent all weekend, and the shop will host a Magaschoni trunk show from Thursday, April 1 through Saturday, April 3.
Magaschoni is a luxe New York-based label that’s known worldwide for its women’s sportswear and knitwear. View the Magaschoni Spring 2010 Collection, which includes silk dresses, embellished sweaters (left), dolman sleeve cardigans, boucle skirts, hooded cashmere cardigans and much more. Plus, you’ll receive a free gift with your Magaschoni purchase.
Finally, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, Mercantile will hold an Easter Egg Shopping Hunt! Find Easter eggs filled with dollars for you to spend on Mercantile merch, and enjoy mini-manicures in the store all day. They’ll also serve coffee and treats in the morning and tea and bellinis in the afternoon so you can keep up your shopping strength.
