It’s hard to believe we’ve been shopping Imelda’s and Louie’s Shoes since chunky red platform sandals and the “Rachel” shag were all the rage, but Portland’s go-to shoe source turns 16 this month. Stop by the shop’s anniversary sale to save 10 to 70 percent on select styles this weekend, Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7.

Both Imelda’s and Louie’s locations will mark down ALL footwear, handbags and jewelry from brands including BornDanskoEarthFrye, and more. The sale includes new styles, and deals on leather handbags from Hobo International and unique, handmade jewelry from local and indie designers.

Save on new spring styles, including cutout slingbacks and peep-toe pumps from Jeffrey Campbell; wedges and modern sandals in soft green and yellow leathers from Antelope; quirky, colorful sandals and Mary Jane’s with lug soles from Fly London (right); flats and perforated leather ankle-straps from Biviel; and more.

If you’re not yet a subscriber to the Imelda’s and Louie’s Shoes mailing list, think about signing up. They like to e-mail their favorite customers with special deals and discounts. And get ready for this – Imelda’s and Louie’s are preparing to launch an online shopping site this spring, which means you can totally shop for shoes while watching 1994 reruns of “Friends.”
