Parallel boutique is celebrating its second birthday, but in a divine reversal of fortune the neat Pearl District shop is bestowing the gifts upon us. Come toast to shop owner Tez Hartney, save 20 percent storewide and check out Janeane Marie Ceccanti’s Fall 2010 Collection at the Parallel Boutique Second Anniversary Party, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Friday, June 4.
Now situated just off Jamison Square Park, Parallel has spent the last two years building a reliable reputation for outfitting local women in perfectly Portland style, with all those casually elegant designer pieces that work whether you’re out walking your ferret or ferreting out some fun.

Plus, as if that’s not enough fun for one birthday party, we’ll also get the gift of meeting local fashion designer Janeane Marie Ceccanti and viewing her Fall 2010 Cave Life Collection (top). Ceccanti, who recently competed on Project Runway 7 alongside Portland-area winner Seth Aaron Henderson, debuted her Fall 2010 collection at last month’s Portland Mercury Open Season Fashion Show, but now we’ll have a chance to get a closer look at the line.
