Save big all weekend with these local summer sales
By Erin Flesch, NEAT Contributor
As exciting as the impending barrage of fall fashion arrivals at our favorite local shops is, at this particular moment what we’re most psyched for is all of the end-of-summer clearance sales going down right now and through this weekend.
All over Portland, boutiques are making way for fresh fall merchandise and are seriously pricing down in stock pieces. Here are a couple of shops that are going big with summer sales right now:
Union Rose – This Montavilla boutique marking down summer stock from now until Sunday, August 29. Look for savings of 30 percent off all Spring/Summer apparel and an asthma attack inducing uber-sale rack with markdowns up to 75 percent off. This shop carries adorable one-of-a-kind accessories by local designers and fun, closet-enhancing looks by Hubris Apparel + many others. 7909 S.E. Stark St.; 503-287-4242; www.unionrosepdx.com
Shop Adorn – Newly relocated to NE Fremont, this packed-to-the-gills haunt is heavy on trendy styles. Right now they are in the midst of their annual summer clearance sale and the savings are heavy, man. Score over 50 percent off labels like Alternative Apparel, Fluxus (like this charcoal Fluxus Papa’s vest, on sale for $40, right), Quicksilver, Harajuku Lovers, Kidrobot, and Obey. Don’t forget, you can also visit their online store. 4759 N.E. Fremont St.; 1-888-654-0570; www.shopadornonline.com
Mario’s – Calling all Prada fans and Alexander Wang lovers, designer department store Mario’s will be offering deep discounts of 50 percent to 60 percent on all merchandise in selected styles at Mario’s 3.10 in Bridgeport Village and at their downtown location from now until Sunday, August 29. Mario’s downtown shoppers can take another 20 percent on top of the sale price. 833 S.W. Broadway; 503-241-8111. www.marios.com.
