Neat SHOES! PedX opens Manifesto on Mississippi

PedX Shoes is preggers y’all, and they’re due to have a fully grown hybrid shoe baby named Manifesto (if anyone is interested in writing a true life PDX fashion comic book, this could be your starting point).
After kicking ass and taking orders in the women’s shoe business for the past seven years, the owners of PedX on Alberta Street have finally taken a major step and expanded their family. Manifesto will be open for business starting Saturday, August 21 on Mississippi Avenue, and they are having a baby shower of sorts on Saturday, Sept. 4 to introduce their bundle of joy to the public.
Not wanting to leave Portland’s stylish XY chromosome card-carrying males alone and shoeless, Manifesto was created to give dapper dudes a place to experience the truly awesome experience of shoe lust (usually an affliction of the ladies). Manifesto is poised to have a huge selection of shoes and accessories for men AND women. Brands you can expect to find in the shop are Jeffrey Campbell, Goorin Bros., Red Wings, Toms, Miz Mooz + many more.
For the celebratory opening next week, Manifesto will serve beer and other beverages (on the house, baby!) and DJ Nick Dean will provide some manly tunes from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Look for food carts outside, and throughout the day there will be giveaways from brands like UK’s Cushe, J. Shoes and Dean bags, among others. Congrats PedX parents! Your boy is beautiful.
