Built By Wendy gingham handkerchief top, $176 at Le Train Bleu.

Portland-based online retailer Le Train Blue may have closed its local bricks-and-mortar store, but Portlanders still have plenty of reasons to shop. Here are two: 1) Tons of tempting new stuff from Built by Wendy just arrived; and 2) Portlanders can receive free shipping when they use the code “Portland” at checkout.

Independent New York City designer Wendy Mullen described her fall collection to New York Magazine as “English country Asian aristocrat shot through a glossy eighties lens.” That’s weird, but hot. Right? We love the wool jersey maxi dresses (your inner-Goth wants one bad); long button-front skirts; floral V-neck dresses with a Bohemian feel; and gingham handkerchief tops (above), which are perfect transitional pieces for autumn’s wacky weather.

Also shop for new accessories from Rachel Comey, including tall brown boots and black buckle mini-boots; and some stellar items from Suzabelle: chocolate flannel Cinema coats, a siren-worthy black Deco dress and the posh, vintage-look Veronica Day Dress.
