Quirky holiday shopping at Urban Outfitters

Don’t you love Urban Outfitters for keeping the holidays real? Cardboard fireplaces, mistletoe headbands, Charlie Brown Christmas trees. . . Browsing the store’s holiday shop for yuletide giggles is becoming as much of a holiday tradition as eggnog laced with strong whiskey.
This year the Urban Outfitters holiday shop is already stocked, and we want all their quirky and/or irreverent Christmas ornaments even more than we want a tree. For that matter, forget the tree – most of these would look pretty good on the rear-view mirror, too.
Either way, our favorite Urban tree trimmings are the pretty, pink frosted glass owls, edible looking glitter cupcakes, golden fortune cookies and Bengal tiger faces. Plus, quite a few offbeat ornaments to remind us what Christmas is all about: whiskey, doughnuts and bowling?
For an extra hip and hilarious holiday, snatch up this faux leather handlebar mustache ornament ($8) and just try to keep a stiff upper lip.
