If the only thing more cheesy than your love for each other is a great big pizza pie, then consider your Valentine’s Day plans settled. Hammy’s Pizza in Southeast Portland will be dishing up heart-shaped pizzas for the fourth year in a row, and you can devour these babies (and each other) all night long.
Ashley Fuderer, who co-owns Hammy’s with her husband Adam and business parter Rusty Johnson, says the heart-shaped pizzas can be a romantic alternative to fighting the Valentine’s Day crowds in local restaurants. “It gets crazy out there with so many people going out to dinner that night,” she said. “The Valentine pizzas are a good way to celebrate by ordering in something special to share.”
Hammy’s will open at 4 p.m. on Valentine’s Day (this Sunday, Feb. 14) and they’ll be making and delivering the heart-shaped pizzas until 4 a.m. Their small space for eating will be open until 2:30 a.m., but this hot dish is best shared in the privacy of your home love nest.
