Seasonal Affective Disorder much? Vancouver, B.C.-based natural cosmetics company LUSH has just launched a new line of perky products to turn your frown upside down.
There’s the Up You Gets Emotibomb (above left), which is a bath bomb of lemon essential oil to make the mornings more enjoyable (is that possible?!); the Therapy Massage Bar (center), a shea and cocoa butter bar with lavender to increase circulation, warm your muscles and relieve stress (can it really do that?!); and The Comforter Bubble Bar (above, right), which looks suspiciously like a raspberry Hostess snack treat, but really is a bath bomb that will fill your tub with fruity blackcurrant bubbles and the scent of bergamot – which is an uplifting and nerve calming essential oil recommended for people suffering from winter blues or extreme cases of S.A.D. (Can we still have the Hostess cake, too?)
LUSH also has re-introduced an old favorite product, the Happy 4 Sad ultraviolet shower gel (yes, we said “ultraviolet shower gel!”), which contains anti-depressant neroli oil and is packaged in what looks like a medicinal blue elixir bottle.
There is only one way to find out if you can really soak and scrub away the blahs, and we’re game to try. Bring on the bubbles!
