Portland fashion stylist Kevin Lennox launches The Studio

Calling the concierge is something most of us do on vacation when we want dinner reservations or a taxi. But what if you could call the concierge right from your own Portland home, and order up an image consultation or some help getting dressed for dinner?
Introducing “style concierge” Kevin Lennox, who’s just opened a posh personal styling business within the Indigo, downtown Portland’s most luxurious apartment building. The Studio will serve residents of the Indigo and others seeking image consultations, closet reorganizations, travel shopping help, personal shopping and special event preparation.
Lennox, who is originally from Beaverton, moved back to Portland from New York City about a year and a half ago. Over the past decade he’s become a style savvy expert through his experience as a fashion and beauty editor for Glamour magazine, as a stylist for high profile fashion advertising and editorial spreads, and most recently as a freelance fashion consultant and an on-air fashion commentator.
You know how you flick on the TODAY show or Extra! to see a fashion expert denouncing J. Lo’s bubble-wrap dress at the Oscars, or to scold Miley Cyrus for bad posture? That guy might be Lennox. And he’s as excited to launch his new business here as we are to have him.
“I am bringing my own unique two-step personal styling process to Portland,” Lennox said. ” To properly address an individual’s style needs, you must start in their closet and conquer any existing fashion demons they may have, which is why my partnership with Indigo @ 12 west is so brilliant – because I’m already where these people live! Once we’ve completed what I like to call the ‘fashion exorcism,’ then in step two you can actually shop and have fun.”
While tonight’s launch party for The Studio is private – guests include Indigo residents and high-end retail partners including Nordstrom, Saks, Mario’s, Mercantile, Macy’s and Moule – his services are open to the public. Let the fashion exorcism begin!
