Sculptor Jessie Weitzel, a student at Pacific Northwest College of Art and part-time animator, is having a ’90s neon moment. “It’s a weird, premature nostalgia,” she laughed when we asked about her choice of neon orange toenails, which lit up Northwest Lovejoy Street as she shopped for Mother’s Day gifts on this sunny Saturday.
