Shop steals + dining deals at 2nd Friday on Fremont

Are you ready for some skilled journalistic alliteration to come your way? Good. Here we go: This Friday there will be family-friendly fun to be found on Fremont Street, thanks to new monthly event “2nd Friday on Fremont.” Bam. You’ve just been alliterated.
Stop by Northeast Fremont Street between about 42nd and 50th Avenues from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Friday, April 9 to support your favorite shops and enjoy special extended hours, food and drink specials, live music, local artists and additional vendors. This event will be the first 2nd Friday celebration in the area, and they will continue year round. As warmer weather nears, additional farmers market booths are scheduled to participate as well.
With more and more cool shops moving in to the Beaumont neighborhood, now is the perfect opportunity to check out this fun, bustling scene. New-ish boutique Found on Fremont (see, we aren’t the only ones who enjoy a little consonant repetition) is a goldmine of vintage finds from local collectors (top). Streetwise specialty retailer Shop Adorn will celebrate the opening of its new location during the event with a Grand Opening party and special deals. And Amenity Shoes will offer refreshments and 10 percent markdowns storewide, including deals on new spring styles from European labels Fly London and Fidji.
Other standout 2nd Friday on Fremont participants include Camellia Pure Beauty, a pretty place that carries over 40 organic beauty lines in house (above right), jazz bistro bar Vinidieus (right), Sparkle, Bella Flora, Green Dog, Bikram’s Yoga, Paperjam Press, A Children’s Place bookstore and many more.
Come rain or shine (and it’s supposed to shine!), if you’re looking for fun, you’ll find it on Fremont Friday. (Sorry, it’s hard to stop once we start).
